Ms. Sibylle Weiler

As an experienced renewable energy and financing specialist Sibylle advise companies, investors and financing institutions on the successful realisation of their projects with a particular knowledge of the French and German renewable energy market. She mainly work across corporate, financing, project-related and investment matters. This includes advising project developers, utilities or aggregators or industrials on regulatory and contractual (off-take contracts, (PPA or hydrogen), construction (FIDIC, EPC), technical and commercial management) aspects. She advise actors in complex offshore and hydrogen projects. On a regular basis, she work for investors on M&A transactions (wind farms, solar, hydrogen, biogas, biomass) drafting PPAs and Corporate PPAs, providing for Due Diligence, acquisition contracts (SPA) and Financing. Sibylle also advise French and international banks and Investment Funds on all aspects of project financing, including both French and German financing documentation. Sibylle is leading Bird & Bird's international (green) hydrogen group, advising companies from all industries and sectors on hydrogen related matters. A regular speaker and author on energy related topics, she is a member of the « Women in Green Hydrogen » network, the French Wind (FEE) and Renewable Energy (SER) organisations and have been a member of the Steering Committee of the French German Office for Energy Transition (OFATE). Sibylle also lectured at Paris II Panthéon-Assas University (Paris), the Institut de Droit Comparé (Paris) and Humboldt University (Berlin). In 2020 the book « Green Banking » was published, where she covered the « French Market ». She is fluent in negotiation and drafting in French, German and English and qualified to practice as both an Avocate in France (Paris Bar) and Rechtsanwältin (Frankfurt Bar) in Germany.
