Senior Expert, Renewable Energies, German Energy Agency (dena)
Katharina Sailer works as a Senior Expert for Renewable Energy at the German Energy Agency (dena). Katharina Sailer's tasks mainly focus on hydrogen certification, calculations of hydrogen production costs, forecasts of GHG quota prices until 2030, and the operation of dena's biogas register (www.biogasregister.de). Prior to her current position, Katharina Sailer worked for two years at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) as a research associate in the EU project ADVANCEFUEL. The project aims to further develop the market for advanced biofuels. Katharina Sailer holds a Master's degree in Environmental and Resource Management with a specialisation in Energy Studies from the Vrije Unversiteit in Amsterdam.
