Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong

Mr. Nguyen Kim Cuong obtained his BSc. in Electrical Engineering in 2008 and MBA from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand in 2012. He became Deputy General Director for Transmission Systems and Thermal and Renewable Projects in PECC1 in 2021. He has nearly 14 years of diverse experiences in planning, design, construction and project management of transmission systems and power system analysis up to 500 kV. With his responsibility as a Deputy General Director he also oversees consultancy works for thermal and renewable energy projects in Vietnam and Laos with capacity up to 2000 MW. Under his guidance PECC1 is conducting a study to review green hydrogen potential in Vietnam sponsored by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
